Alumnae Induction 2026: Welcome to the Sisterhood 💚 On Friday, May 8, 2026, the Class of 2026 officially became part of the Archbishop Chapelle Alumnae Sisterhood during the Alumnae Induction Ceremony at Chateau Golf & Country Club in Kenner. The morning began with an opening prayer and brunch blessing led by Bonnie Perkins Jones ’75 and Macey Lane ’26, followed by a warm welcome from Alumnae Board Co‑President Tricia McDonnell Lara ’98. Generations of Chapelle women — from the Class of 1962 to 2026 — gathered together to celebrate this meaningful milestone. A highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of Lyndsey Manalla Dyle ’03, the 2026 Alumna of the Year, introduced by Kelly Mullen Shepherd ’84. Her reflection reminded the soon‑to‑be graduates what it truly means to live out the Chapelle mission. During the Pinning Ceremony, led by Maria Cervini Eaton ’06 and Susan Chocheles Panzavecchia ’90, each senior received her alumnae pin — a symbol of lifelong loyalty to green and white. The Class of 2026 then recited the Alumnae Induction Oath, led by Judy Golemi Spadafora ’66 and Kelsey Doyle ’26, promising to uphold Chapelle’s Catholic formation, educational excellence, and noble ideals, always trusting in our motto: Deus Providebit — God Will Provide. The lighting of the Unity Candle, presented by Debbie Robert Vigo ’04, lit by Shannon Whitman Impastato ’96 and Catherine Jouet ’26, symbolized the bond between past, present, and future alumnae. Head of School Connie Leggio Dantagnan ’88 offered closing remarks before the ceremony concluded with prayer and a heartfelt singing of the Alma Mater — a powerful reminder that while their time as students is ending, their sisterhood is forever. “We walked as sisters, hand in hand. Now we step out, trusting God’s plan.” Welcome to the Sisterhood, Class of 2026. 💚
Alumna Spotlight: Theresa Schembre Hebert ’97 We are proud to celebrate Theresa Schembre Hebert ’97, who has officially been named the new Principal of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School, effective July 1, 2026. With 24 years in education, including 14 years in Catholic education, Theresa brings both experience and heart to her new role. Over the years, she has served as a middle school Math teacher, a dedicated Principal for three years, and most recently as the Assistant Principal at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton since the 2022–2023 school year. She also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, further equipping her to guide and inspire students, faculty, and families. Her leadership journey is especially meaningful as she follows in the footsteps of another Chapelle alumna, Joan Nastasi Kathmann ’74, the current Principal of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. What a powerful testament to Chapelle women leading the way in Catholic education. Theresa’s Chapelle legacy continues at home as well. She is the proud mom of Gabriella Hebert, Class of 2030, carrying the Green and White tradition into the next generation. We are incredibly proud to see Theresa stepping into this new role and continuing to make an impact on students and families.
Celebrating Sisterhood: 5th Annual 60s & 70s Alumnae Spring Luncheon On Thursday, April 29, the spirit of Chapelle sisterhood was alive and well at the beautiful Ormond Manor Restaurant in Destrehan as we gathered for the 5th Annual Chapelle 60s & 70s Alumnae Spring Luncheon. Affectionately known as the 60s and 70s Spring Luncheon, this special tradition brings together alumnae from the Classes of 1960–1979 for an afternoon filled with laughter, memories, and meaningful reconnections. This year, 100 alumnae were in attendance — a wonderful testament to the lasting bonds formed at Archbishop Chapelle High School. From catching up on life’s milestones to reminiscing about cherished school memories, the room was filled with joy, pride, and the unmistakable warmth of the Chapelle family. A highlight of the afternoon was recognizing this year’s attendance winners. Congratulations to the Classes of: - 1975 - 1967 - 1969 Your class spirit continues to shine! As stories were shared and friendships rekindled, one thing was clear: the sisterhood formed decades ago remains as strong as ever. Events like the 60s & 70s Spring Luncheon remind us that once you are part of the Chapelle family, you are always part of it. We are already looking forward to next year’s gathering!
Alumna Spotlight: Leann Lomongo Vinson ’08 Leann Lomongo Vinson ’08 is a proud member of the Chapelle sisterhood whose faith, leadership, and heart for service continue to make a meaningful impact. Leann lives in Mandeville with her husband, Grant, and their two sons, Wells and Trace. She is currently in her 13th year in education and serves as an instructional coach in St. Tammany Parish, where she supports and guides teachers in their professional growth. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching from LSU. Throughout her career, Leann has taught: - 5th grade at Chateau Estates in Kenner - 5th and 6th grades at her alma mater, St. Philip Neri - 3rd grade at Pontchartrain Elementary School in Mandeville Beyond the classroom, Leann finds great joy in serving her community. She is the Secretary of the Louisiana Association of Teachers of Mathematics , serves on the Coach Advisory Board for Girls on the Run of South Louisiana , and acts as Recruitment Chair for the Junior League of Greater Covington . Most meaningfully, Leann and her sister founded the Mongo Forever Smiling Foundation in honor of their brother, Christopher Lomongo, who unexpectedly passed away in 2022. The nonprofit provides scholarships to deserving Christian students pursuing higher education while upholding their faith and making a positive impact in their communities—just as Christopher did throughout his life. When reflecting on her time at Chapelle, Leann simply says she thinks of family. Her sister, Christie Lomongo Jones ’98, attended Chapelle, and their legacy continued with her niece, Malaya Jones ’23. She also shared the Chapelle experience with her grammar school best friends—women she considers sisters to this day. During her years at ACHS, Leann developed strong academic discipline and deepened her faith, learning to rely fully on God. She continues to live by the Chapelle motto: “God Will Provide.” In both joyful seasons and challenging ones, she believes He always does.

ALUMNA SPOTLIGHT: KAYLA GIARDINA ’24 Chapelle proud! Kayla Giardina ’24 delivered a performance for the record books this weekend for Southern Miss Softball — throwing a perfect game to complete a conference sweep over South Alabama! Final Score: Southern Miss 8, South Alabama 0 (6 innings) - 6 perfect innings - Just 60 pitches - 70th strikeout of the season - Improved to 17–7 on the year Giardina’s dominant outing marked: - The first perfect game at the Southern Miss Softball Complex - The fourth perfect game in program history - Part of Southern Miss’ first conference series sweep of the season - Head Coach Natalie Poole’s 100th win at Southern Miss Her determination, precision, and competitive spirit were on full display as she retired every batter she faced and led her team to victory. We are so proud to see Kayla continuing to excel at the collegiate level and representing Chapelle with excellence. The future is bright!
Alumna Spotlight: Erin Black Comeaux ’99 Archbishop Chapelle High School is proud to spotlight Erin Black Comeaux ’99, who was recently selected as a featured speaker for the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) Women in Leadership Panel, held in partnership with the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce in honor of Women’s History Month. The annual panel brings together influential women leaders from across the region for a conversation centered on authenticity, mentorship, confidence, and leading with purpose. The discussion highlighted the power of supporting one another and navigating career growth with integrity and determination. Erin serves as the Commercial Sector Leader at RNGD, where she oversees commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. With more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, she is known for her hands-on leadership style, strategic problem-solving, and commitment to collaboration. She manages coordination, scheduling, and budget oversight while fostering strong communication with clients and project partners. A graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Construction Management, Erin has built a career defined by hard work, resilience, and a “never give up” mentality — values that echo the spirit of Chapelle women. She is also deeply committed to mentoring and coaching her team, investing in the next generation of leaders. We are inspired to see a Chapelle alumna using her voice and expertise to impact the business community and uplift other women in leadership. Congratulations, Erin! Your Chapelle family is proud of the example you continue to set.
