2024 DEUS PROVIDEBIT AWARD

Bruce & Michelle Lambert

Michelle graduated from Riverdale High School in 1978. She was a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. She attended the University of New Orleans and received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in December of 1981 and obtained her CPA designation in July of 1982. Upon graduation, she worked at Laporte, Sehrt, Romig and Hand CPAs. While at Laporte, she was an audit supervisor with experience in banking, construction, country clubs, voluntary health and welfare organizations, and high schools. She also taught various courses for the CPA firm, state society and the UNO metropolitan college. Michelle performed the annual audits of Archbishop Chapelle High School, which led her to become Chapelle’s Business Manager in November of 1988. She has worked at Chapelle for 35 years under 6 different principals/presidents. Together they have been members of the St. Philip Neri Church Parish since 1983 and Michelle was part of the Capital Campaign Committee responsible for building the Parishioner’s Center and Early Learning Center. Michelle was instrumental in starting the St. Joseph Altar at Archbishop Chapelle High School in 2012 and remains an active leader in the annual tradition. 


Bruce graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 1977. He was a member of the Raider Band and the Bleu Raeders Drum and Bugle Corp. Bruce attended Nicholls State University and graduated in May of 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Upon graduation, he began his successful career as an office supply salesman which continued until he retired in November of 2022 from GBP Direct. Bruce has also been very active in volunteering with St. Joseph Altar.


Bruce and Michelle are blessed with two children, Angelle Lambert Arnondin, a graduate of Archbishop Chapelle in 2006 and Michael Lambert, a graduate of Archbishop Rummel in 2008. Angelle earned a degree in accounting from LSU and currently works as a senior financial analyst at HUB International. She has been married to her husband, Matthew, for 8 years and has two beautiful boys, Jack and Luke that both attend St. Philip Neri. Michael earned a degree in journalism from LSU and then graduated from the LSU Law Center. Michael currently practices as a media/First Amendment lawyer at the law firm of Haynes and Boone in Austin, Texas. Bruce and Michelle also have two nieces that graduated from Chapelle and two great nieces that currently attend Chapelle.


Bruce and Michelle have hearts full of gratitude and a profound sense of humility as the recipients of the Deus Providebit Award. It is with great honor and appreciation that they accept this prestigious recognition. They are acutely aware of the caliber of individuals who have won this award, each having left an indelible mark on Chapelle through their commitment to service. It is a privilege beyond measure to be counted among them today. For Bruce and Michelle, this award is not just a recognition of their individual efforts, but it is a celebration of the collaborative spirit that defines Archbishop Chapelle High School. They look forward to continuing the shared mission of Archbishop Chapelle High School in the future. Bruce and Michelle wanted to share the words of St. John Paul II, “Remember the past with gratitude.  Live the present with enthusiasm.  Look forward to the future with confidence.”
