Have you ever stepped foot in the Chapelle bathrooms before this year and thought wow this is rough?  Well we have, and the community decided it was time for an upgrade. This past year through various events, the Chapelle community has raised money to renovate our bathrooms and showers. Let’s just say the wait was totally worth it! When we returned to school and saw the new bathrooms the entire study body was thrilled. Sophomore Abby Naquin mentioned, “The new showers in the burrow are a great addition to the school. The cross country team and I are very grateful for these very modern and clean showers we have been waiting for!”

Moving forward, The bathrooms are not only functional but they have a fun creative design to them. Our Associate Head of School Mrs. Panzavecchia personally designed the interior for all of the bathrooms and showers. When asked about her designs she says, “I love designing spaces that make our students happy, the smiles on their faces make it all worth it!” She truly took her time with the interior of these bathrooms and it shows! All of the bathrooms have an upgraded tile floor, new sage green stalls, white marble countertops, gold mirrors and best of all, everything is touchless. Not only are the students loving the bathrooms, the custodians are loving them too! They don’t have to clean any fingerprints thanks to all of the touchless features. We are so thankful for these new bathrooms and are looking forward to using them!

Recapping a Great Summer

This summer, Molly hit the court in a big way—literally! While playing travel basketball, she participated in a 3-point shooting competition during one of her tournaments. The contest brought together about 15 talented high school players from across Louisiana and Mississippi, each ready to show off their shooting skills. When the final buzzer sounded, Molly had made the most 3-pointers out of the entire group, securing her spot as the champion! Her sharp shooting earned her not just bragging rights, but also a championship ring and a $400 prize. We are so proud of Molly for this exciting achievement! We cannot wait to see her in the Burrow this year representing Archbishop Chapelle High School on the basketball court!

We are thrilled to share exciting news about one of our own, Kyla Wilson '29, whose dedication, skill, and perseverance have earned her a spot on the international stage! This past June, at the USA Gymnastics Nationals, Kyla was selected to represent the United States at the South Tyneside International Acro Cup in Great Britain this October. This prestigious competition will bring together top athletes from around the world, and Kyla will proudly compete as part of Team USA. Kyla’s journey to this moment has been years in the making. Countless hours of training, discipline, and determination have shaped her into the exceptional gymnast she is today. Her selection is not only a testament to her incredible talent but also to her resilience and love for the sport. We are so proud of Kyla and cannot wait to cheer her on as she takes the floor in Great Britain.
