From inspirational speakers to Jojo Siwa lip singers, LeaderChip is the one-stop shop for all chipmunk leaders.  This Club Officer retreat was developed on the idea of strong initiative and guiding the presidents, vice presidents, secretaries, historians, treasurers, Campus Ministry,  Class Officers, and team captains, to make their organization as successful as possible.

Kicking the event off strong with a humorous skit from the Executive Board, the lesson of inclusivity and kindness created a foundation for every school organization. All leaders were instructed to go to different EBOARD members based on officer position to gain wonderful words of wisdom to help manage their responsibilities as club officers. These speeches and lessons helped each and every leader gain insight into what it actually takes to be the head of a school club. LeaderChip attendees were taught how to make important decisions, proper club planning, brainstorming, and how to collaborate with their peers in a meaningful and productive manner. They were given an in-depth look at the different events that the 2024-25 school year will hold and were even given the opportunity to brainstorm their own school-wide celebrations.
LeaderChip also taught club officers the importance of their faith, and how that can be incorporated into their club. Mrs. Dantagnan, STUCO moderator and Chapelle alum, explains,

"Faith plays a significant role in leading others. I believe that when the focus is on servant leadership, just as Jesus served others in his ministry, we truly put others before ourselves and the titles, which in my opinion is what leadership is all about. At LeaderChip, students were not only able to learn valuable leadership skills that would assist them in the new school year, but they were also able to learn the meaning and value of leadership through our ultimate leader, Jesus Christ."
Using the importance of work-life balance as well as incorporating your faith in your work, this retreat proved to students that work
can be fun when you get the job done. LeaderChip ended with a dance competition, an incredible ice-cream social, and games with their peers.

With all fun and games aside, LeaderChip’s goal is to teach young women the leadership and management skills they need to be successful, and to teach the responsibilities of their retrospective club, sport, ministry, or student council positions. LeaderChip empowers our future leaders, and demonstrates the student body’s capability to manage and lead while fostering new experiences and relationships!

Recapping a Great Summer

This summer, Molly hit the court in a big way—literally! While playing travel basketball, she participated in a 3-point shooting competition during one of her tournaments. The contest brought together about 15 talented high school players from across Louisiana and Mississippi, each ready to show off their shooting skills. When the final buzzer sounded, Molly had made the most 3-pointers out of the entire group, securing her spot as the champion! Her sharp shooting earned her not just bragging rights, but also a championship ring and a $400 prize. We are so proud of Molly for this exciting achievement! We cannot wait to see her in the Burrow this year representing Archbishop Chapelle High School on the basketball court!
