The Senior Class of 2025 designed their parking spots with a variety of paints that are filled with thrilling colors and excitement! This year, the seniors were able to paint their parking spots with different characters, designs, and symbols that met their personalities.  Seniors go through several emotions when painting these spots because they will be leaving the school knowing they have unbreakable bonds. The Class of 2025 was able to connect with friends and talk about their cherished memories while being on the Archbishop Chapelle High School campus for the last year as a high schooler!

The idea of painting parking spots started out as a simple celebration just for the Senior class at another school that quickly evolved into a fun tradition at Chapelle also. Chapelle has decided to take on that wonderful tradition and let Seniors here at Chapelle get creative with their parking spots!  The goal of this activity is for the Seniors to hold on to their school spirit and let creativity show in how they express themselves as well as have the most fun they can.  This activity is truly memorable especially when the Seniors can reflect on their years and cherish their last few school activities. Chapelle is a wonderful advocate for letting their students express their artistic talents in disparate ways!

The freshly painted parking spots at Archbishop Chapelle High School look amazing with the different amounts of colors shown throughout the parking lot. The bold colors are seen by the students and visitors that greet the school.  This project of painting parking spots not only makes the school stand out, but it is a way for other kids to see how well Chapelle really enjoys spending time with their students and giving them special qualities for their last year here. It was quoted by our Senior Brooke LaCoste, “ Painting my senior parking spot was an amazing tradition to be a part of and it was a great bonding experience with my class moving into senior year together.” This quote highlights what painting parking spots is genuinely all about! You are able to spend time with your friends and feel the excitement of transitioning from a Junior to being a senior.

All in all the Seniors this year truly enjoyed their experience with painting their parking spots. This celebration will be a welcome to the best last year of their life in school. Seniors chatted, laughed,  and created so many memories to start their 2025 school year. Students can tell that the seniors are coming in hot with all the enthusiastic aroma that they are spreading through the school. Archbishop Chapelle will wish the best for our seniors as they create their last journey through the halls of Chapelle !

Recapping a Great Summer

This summer, Molly hit the court in a big way—literally! While playing travel basketball, she participated in a 3-point shooting competition during one of her tournaments. The contest brought together about 15 talented high school players from across Louisiana and Mississippi, each ready to show off their shooting skills. When the final buzzer sounded, Molly had made the most 3-pointers out of the entire group, securing her spot as the champion! Her sharp shooting earned her not just bragging rights, but also a championship ring and a $400 prize. We are so proud of Molly for this exciting achievement! We cannot wait to see her in the Burrow this year representing Archbishop Chapelle High School on the basketball court!

We are thrilled to share exciting news about one of our own, Kyla Wilson '29, whose dedication, skill, and perseverance have earned her a spot on the international stage! This past June, at the USA Gymnastics Nationals, Kyla was selected to represent the United States at the South Tyneside International Acro Cup in Great Britain this October. This prestigious competition will bring together top athletes from around the world, and Kyla will proudly compete as part of Team USA. Kyla’s journey to this moment has been years in the making. Countless hours of training, discipline, and determination have shaped her into the exceptional gymnast she is today. Her selection is not only a testament to her incredible talent but also to her resilience and love for the sport. We are so proud of Kyla and cannot wait to cheer her on as she takes the floor in Great Britain.
