We are thrilled to share the incredible experiences of two of our outstanding Chipmunks, Mackenzie Blanke '24 and Mariella Arroyo '24, who recently attended the prestigious Louisiana Girls State (LAGS)!

LAGS is a one-week leadership and citizenship training program designed to educate exceptional high school students about state and local government. As delegates, Mackenzie and Mariella had the unique opportunity to delve into the intricacies of governmental procedures by participating in simulated political campaigns, elections, and the entire political process.

We invite you to keep scrolling to hear more about Mackenzie and Mariella's remarkable experiences at Louisiana Girls State. Their stories will surely inspire and showcase their growth as aspiring leaders within our school and community!

"Louisiana Girls State was one of the best experiences of my life. I learned so much about our government and how the election process works as well as how to campaign and give speeches. However, my biggest takeaway from the week were the friendships I made. I met girls from all across the state that I hope to stay friends with for the rest of my life."  - Mackenzie B. '24

"I was so honored and proud to attend Louisiana Girls State this year alongside Mackenzie. Girls state was so much more than just another leadership “camp” or something to do over the summer. It was an experience of a lifetime. We learned about our local, state and federal government as well as the process of campaigning for public office and the voting process. The political process helped me understand all the nuances that go into building websites, establishing platforms and policy. Even though each girl came from different places with their own backgrounds and points of view, we were able to learn from each other. It pushed me to better myself and in turn helped me learn so much more about who I am, not only as a student but also as a young woman. I met so many incredible new friends and made so many memories to last a lifetime."  - Mariella A. '24

On Friday, April 12, our student body witnessed the 2024 Sudden Impact Louisiana Mock Crash on Chapelle's campus. The purpose of the Mock Crash each year is to bring awareness to the effects of driving while impaired, driving while distracted, and refusal to wear a seat belt while a vehicle is in motion. Thank you to the talented student actors, public safety partners, Chapelle Counseling Department, and other school faculty for making this impactful event possible. As news around the world buzzed about the April 8th Solar Eclipse, Chapelle High School became fully prepared to make this a truly stellar viewing party for our students. Each student received their own personal pair of ISO-approved safety lenses so that they could see the eclipse in style and comfort. Although it was a cloudy day, everyone enjoyed this rare occasion right here on campus.

Students from a variety of elementary schools spent a day on Chapelle's campus! Our students had the opportunity to show them their classes, give them tours of our buildings, eat lunch with them, and share what being a student at Chapelle is really like. It's so great to see new faces learn about our school and all of the ways our girls are challenged spiritually, academically and socially. We hope you had fun, Spend-A-Days!!! Check out all of the photos below!

Students from St. Therese Academy visited Chapelle's campus for an afternoon of fun with some of our seniors! We had Easter-focused activities and games, and we even had an Easter Egg Hunt around our courtyard area. Our girls genuinely enjoy hanging with the students from St. Therese, and we are so happy that we are able to do fun things like this! To view more photos, CLICK HERE!
