The first pep rally was a great way to get the good times rolling for the new school year. To start off the afternoon with fun, the students were able to get Dippin' Dots during lunch! The Dippin Dots were a perfect way to cool off from the extreme heat!
The school started off the pep rally second lining with their own handkerchiefs that had the 24-25 Stuco logo provided by E-Board! These logos represented the theme Krewe de Stuco. Along with the mardi gras theme, all the students were decked out in their New Orleans gear! Chapelle students always have the best school spirit! “Dressing up is so much fun because everyone can be themselves! My favorite part was cheering with my class.” -Gianna Deluca ‘29. Then, there were performances by all of our amazing teams, Cheerleading, Hi-Steppers, and Chapellettes. Those performances were as good as a warm beignet on a cold winter day. All of the grades were crunk as they cheered for their teachers participating in blind-folded Musical chairs. Then, the students had their turn at blindfolded musical chairs. Every grade wanted the spirit point to kick off the year. Each grade had three competitors and all the grades were yelling which way to go. It was getting more intense every round, however laughter was everywhere. In the end, the Sophomores won the spirit point in the final round. A senior described her last first pep rally by saying, “My first pep rally of senior year was the best time! I loved getting to cheer and bond with my class.” -Rachelann Potter ‘25
The Executive Board taught new cheers and we even played a prank on the Head of School, Mrs. Dantagnan. Each Eboard member said “give me my money” and all the students clapped. But, when it was Mrs. Dantagnans turn, nobody clapped for her and she was very confused. It was definitely a great day starting the new school year down in ACHS!
