On Thursday, August 15th, the seniors at Chapelle all gathered together at 6:00 A.M. to watch the sunrise. Senior Sunrise is a tradition that has been around for a while at Archbishop Chapelle High School. It is a tradition where the seniors all gather early in the morning to watch the sunrise with their friends and classmates. This year, the seniors had an amazing time watching the beautiful sunrise with all of their friends. They pulled into their painted parking spots early in the morning, with breakfast and coffee, and sat around with their friends and waited until the sun rose.
After the seniors ate their breakfast, they took amazing pictures in front of the sunrise. The pictures looked beautiful and truly showed what an amazing time they had. Some of the seniors even had their jeans that they had painted earlier that week at the senior jean painting. They all looked wonderful, you could see the effort that went into all of them. The seniors getting to paint jeans is also a tradition here at Chapelle. A little while after the photographs, the seniors went to the gym to practice their beautiful senior song. The senior song is a wonderful way for the senior class to express how they feel about their last year at Chapelle. I think this year's senior song was truly moving and wonderfully encapsulated the feelings of all the seniors. They have all grown here and it has become their home in many ways. I am happy to be a part of such a beautiful sisterhood.
