This is your chance to hear real stories, ask questions, and explore those who’ve walked in your shoes. See below for the upcoming career engagements.
September 15
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner- This alum's role is to perform psychiatric evaluations for patients who may be experiencing mental health crises, behavioral issues, and psychosis to determine the best course of action. She must determine if her patient is safe to return home or if they should be admitted for inpatient psychiatric support. She prescribes medications for either short-term use when discharged or emergent use for acute crisis on the unit.
Speech- Language Pathologist- With this career, this alum helps kids with talking, whether it is learning to communicate if they aren’t yet or working on clearer speech. She can also work with adults who have difficulty with communication due to medical concerns such as a stroke or neurological disease. Currently, this alum works with kids ages 0-3 in their homes or daycares.
September 29
Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant– This alum is an advanced practicing provider who does her own procedures and inpatient consults in an outpatient clinic where she diagnoses and treats patients. She has the ability to prescribe imaging and medications of all types.
October 15
Commercial Construction- Commercial Construction is the planning, design, and building of non-residential, profit-driven structures. This alum is responsible for sourcing and building projects for construction that are NOT multi family (apartments) or hospitality (hotels).
Associate Dean for Undergraduate Nursing- As Associate Dean, this alum oversees the quality of nursing programs. She leads programs in New Orleans, Shreveport, and Baton Rouge. She ensures the leaders of those sites have the support they need to hire quality faculty and support students as they navigate the rigorous nursing curriculum. Their nursing program is ranked nationally in the top 10 for its excellence in preparing students for the nursing workforce at an affordable cost.
October 27
Attorney- This alum works in Big Law as an associate attorney for a firm downtown. She specifically practices Labor and Employment defense, which means she defends and counsels companies on labor and employment issues, such as employment discrimination, wage and hour/employee misclassification, and clawbacks of funds.
All visits take place during Period S in a separate room for each career. You will receive an email the night before with the location of your session.

Welcoming Future Chipmunks to Future Scholars Night 💚🌟 On October 1, Archbishop Chapelle High School welcomed prospective families to campus for Future Scholars Night, an engaging evening created for 5th, 6th, and 7th grade girls and their families. This event gave Future Chipmunks the opportunity to explore Chapelle’s academic offerings, participate in hands-on activities, and learn more about the many ways our students are encouraged to grow, discover, and succeed. An Evening of Discovery The night began with a warm welcome from our Associate Head of School, who introduced families to the heart of Chapelle’s academic experience. From there, students and parents separated into groups for a night designed to give each of them a meaningful look at life as a Chapelle student. While parents heard more about Chapelle’s curriculum, programs, and student support, Future Chipmunks had the chance to experience learning in action through interactive sessions across campus. Learning Comes to Life Throughout the evening, prospective students rotated through a variety of stations that highlighted the creativity, innovation, and academic excellence found at Chapelle. In Future Focus, students reflected on their goals and dreams while creating vision boards and learning how Chapelle helps prepare students for success beyond high school. During the STEM session, guests explored robotics, 3D printing, and hands-on science activities in the ARC, giving them a glimpse into the exciting ways Chapelle students problem-solve, create, and experiment. The Tech and Media station offered a look into how students use technology, storytelling, and creativity through Chapelle’s digital media opportunities. Students also learned about Experiential Learning, where education extends beyond the classroom. This session highlighted the electives, field trips, and real-world learning experiences available at Chapelle. Families also had the opportunity to hear about the exciting travel opportunities Chapelle offers, including student trips abroad in Europe, where learning continues through culture, history, faith, and global exploration. Each station helped Future Chipmunks see how Chapelle encourages students to think boldly, ask questions, and discover their passions. Valuable Information for Parents While their daughters participated in activities, parents met with Chapelle faculty and staff to learn more about academic programs, course offerings, scholarships, and resources available to students. These conversations gave families a deeper understanding of how Chapelle supports each young woman throughout her high school journey. Parents also received helpful materials about scholarships and course studies, allowing them to better envision their daughter’s future as a Chapelle student. A Bright Future Ahead Future Scholars Night was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the faith-filled, supportive, and academically challenging environment that makes Chapelle such a special place. We loved welcoming so many curious and talented young women to campus and sharing the many opportunities that await them as Future Chipmunks. Rooted in faith and built for the future, this project represents so much more than new construction. Alumna Career Engagement Spotlight: Rachel Schneider, PA-C ’14 Archbishop Chapelle High School is proud to spotlight Rachel Schneider, PA-C, Class of 2014, who serves as an Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant at Ochsner. Rachel recently returned to campus to speak with students who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, giving them a firsthand look at her role and the many opportunities available in the medical field. Her visit allowed students to ask questions, learn about the path to becoming a physician assistant, and gain insight into what it is like to work in interventional radiology. As an advanced practice provider, Rachel plays an important role in diagnosing and treating patients through both inpatient and outpatient care. In her position, she performs her own procedures, meets with patients through inpatient consultations, and sees patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Rachel also has the ability to prescribe imaging and medications, allowing her to provide comprehensive care and support for her patients throughout their treatment journey. We are so grateful to Rachel for sharing her time, experience, and knowledge with our students. Alumna Spotlight: Kara Conners Pigeon ’90 Archbishop Chapelle High School is proud to spotlight Kara Conners Pigeon, Class of 1990, on being recognized as an Influential Woman in Hospitality & Catering. Kara has built an impressive career in the events and sales industry, bringing more than 30 years of experience, leadership, creativity, and dedication to her work. She currently serves as the Catering Director of Sales for her family’s business, Pigéon Catering, where she continues to help create meaningful and memorable experiences for clients throughout the community. At Chapelle, we have had the joy of working with Kara and Pigéon Catering as they are our official school caterer! During various school events and every day in the Cafeteria, we are grateful for the care, professionalism, and excellence their company brings to each occasion. Kara credits part of her success to the foundation she received during her time at Chapelle. While she remembers Chapelle as a wonderful environment to grow up in, she also shared that balancing high school academics was not always easy. Early on, Kara was deeply involved in extracurricular activities, which made it challenging to maintain her academic focus. Thankfully, Chapelle’s structured environment and attentive faculty helped make a lasting difference. When her teachers recognized her struggles, they stepped in to help her build vital organizational and time-management skills. Those lessons helped Kara balance dance team, two jobs, and coursework during high school. The skills Kara developed at Chapelle became the foundation for her future. Learning how to manage responsibilities, stay organized, and balance a full schedule helped launch her career as an Event Production Manager in the hospitality industry. Today, those same skills continue to guide her success in her role with Pigéon Catering. Kara’s story is a beautiful example of how perseverance, support, and a strong foundation can shape a meaningful career. Her recognition as an Influential Woman in Hospitality & Catering is a testament to her hard work, passion, and commitment to excellence. Congratulations, Kara! RECORD-BREAKING CRAFT FAIR! Archbishop Chapelle High School celebrated a record-breaking Chapelle Craft Fair 2026, presented by Foley Marketing! This year’s Craft Fair was our biggest and best yet, welcoming more vendors, receiving more sponsorship support, and bringing more shoppers to campus than ever before. The day was filled with excitement, community, and Chapelle spirit as guests enjoyed shopping from a wide variety of vendors and spending time together at 8800 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Events like the Chapelle Craft Fair would not be possible without the incredible support of our school community. We are so grateful to our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, families, alumnae, and shoppers who helped make this year’s event such a success. Your generosity, time, and participation helped create a memorable day for everyone who joined us. Thank you to all who came out to support Chapelle and our vendors. We hope you enjoyed your day on campus as much as we did! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back next year for another wonderful Chapelle Craft Fair.
Class of 2028's Bonding Activity (Written by Yara Zeitoun, Junior Class President) The Junior Bonding Activity was genuinely so much fun for everyone involved. For the activity itself, we wanted to do something fun and bonding, but most of all, create an event that builds unforgettable memories. We did a Junior Movie Night, or, in other words, a Junior Sleepunder; we wanted it to seem like one big sleepover. To build that vibe, we let everyone wear pajamas and slippers and bring blankets, pillows, and snacks. We got this huge inflatable screen and used a projector to watch Enola Holmes, a mystery movie that the grade voted on. Something that made the experience more enjoyable was turning off all the lights in the gym; it made it feel much more intimate amongst all of us and was so cool seeing our school in the dark. As the juniors walked in with their comfy pajamas on, they grabbed gems, paint pens, and ribbon to decorate a picture frame of all of us to do while they watched the movie. Furthermore, every group got boxes of pizza to share amongst themselves to truly make that sleepover vibe. We even surprised them with an ice cream bar, which they loved! Honestly, it was so much fun as we all decorated, laughed at the movie, and played in the dark. We even began to play a little game with the movie, cheering every time a character appeared. It is those little things that truly made the whole experience so memorable for all of us.
Chapelle Students Honored with PSAT National Recognition Awards We are thrilled to announce that several of our Archbishop Chapelle High School students have earned the prestigious PSAT National Recognition Award ! This incredible achievement highlights their academic excellence, dedication, and commitment to success. The PSAT National Recognition Program , awarded by the College Board, celebrates high-achieving students who excel on standardized tests and in challenging coursework. This honor not only acknowledges their hard work but also provides a valuable addition to their college applications, helping them stand out to universities across the nation. What is the PSAT National Recognition Program? The PSAT National Recognition Program is an academic award (not a scholarship) that recognizes students for their exceptional performance. Eligibility is determined by a combination of: PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 scores AP exam scores GPA In addition to its traditional honors, the program has expanded to include: School Recognition Awards for top-performing students in their high schools. First-Generation Recognition Awards for students on track to be the first in their family to complete college. How Our Students Qualified Students at Chapelle qualified for this award through two pathways: Scoring in the top 10% nationally on the PSAT/NMSQT (10th or 11th grade) or PSAT 10. Achieving a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP Exams taken in 8th, 9th, and/or 10th grade . These accomplishments reflect not only their individual talent and determination but also the supportive environment of academic excellence at Chapelle.
