Jenny Mains ’27 – Gaining Hands-On Medical Experience at Yale
Archbishop Chapelle High School is thrilled to share the incredible accomplishments of Jenny Mains ’27, who spent her summer exploring her passion for medicine at the prestigious Envision Medical Program at Yale University.
During the week-long program, Jenny had the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn essential medical skills, and collaborate with some of the brightest students from across the globe. While staying on Yale’s campus, Jenny immersed herself in daily classes, interactive activities, and insightful lectures from doctors and medical professionals.
Some of the highlights of Jenny’s experience included:
- Learning surgical knot tying and suturing techniques.
- Practicing phlebotomy and determining heart patterns.
- Participating in real-life crisis simulations with lifelike dolls that mimicked human behaviors such as speaking, breathing, and reacting to medical interventions.
- Diagnosing and creating treatment plans for simulated patients alongside her peers.
- Visiting the New York Medical College, exploring its facilities, and enjoying a day trip to New York City.
The program combined medical training with fun and engaging activities such as escape rooms, team-building exercises, and public speaking presentations. Jenny and her group worked together to craft diagnoses, present their findings, and develop solutions for complex medical cases.
Jenny’s experience at the Envision Medical Program was not only educational but also inspiring. She had the chance to network with peers from diverse backgrounds, learn from experts in the medical field, and strengthen her skills in teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking.
We are so proud of Jenny for representing Chapelle with excellence and determination. Her success at Yale is a testament to her hard work and bright future in the medical field.

Emily Ledet – A Rising Star in Jazz Archbishop Chapelle High School is proud to highlight one of our incredibly talented seniors, Emily Ledet , whose passion for jazz music has already led her to remarkable achievements. This past summer, Emily recorded her second jazz album as a member of the prestigious Next Generation Jazz Band . The band, known for its exceptional performances, has a history of sharing its love of jazz with the community, including appearances at French Quarter Fest and the Jazz Museum's Gala . Both of the band’s albums, including Emily’s latest, were recorded at the historic Jazz Museum , a testament to their dedication to preserving and celebrating New Orleans' rich musical heritage. Emily’s journey with the band began before she even started high school, as she recorded her first album just before entering 8th grade. Since then, she has continued to grow as a musician, performing in yearly community events , such as their annual Christmas performances. The Next Generation Jazz Band is composed of a mix of talented individuals, including music majors from colleges across the country and a few exceptional high school students like Emily. The band also collaborates regularly with renowned professional jazz musicians, such as Wendell Brunious , Caroline Brunious , Shannon Powell , and Craig Klein , many of whom perform at the legendary Preservation Jazz Hall . These incredible musicians not only perform alongside the band but also share their expertise and musical advice, offering Emily and her peers invaluable learning experiences. Emily’s dedication to her craft and her contributions to the vibrant New Orleans jazz scene are truly inspiring. At the beginning of August, the Chapelle Volleyball team hosted a Parents vs. Players Tournament to kick off the 2025-2026 season. It was the perfect way for all the team members and families to get to know each other before the fun really begins on the Court this season. Thank you to Coach Jodee and the Volleyball Program for organizing this spectacular event, and thank you to every parent and family member who showed up. Here's to a great season🏐💚👏
The Class of 2026 Senior Ring Dance 💍 On Friday, August 22 , the Class of 2026 celebrated a milestone moment at their Senior Ring Dance , held in the Chapelle Cafeteria. This special tradition marked one of the first opportunities for our seniors to proudly show off their rings, a symbol of their hard work, dedication, and love for Chapelle. The evening was filled with excitement and joy as seniors arrived with their dates, dressed to impress and ready to celebrate. The cafeteria was transformed into a festive space where the Chapelle spirit shone brightly. One of the most touching moments of the night came when the seniors gathered to sing their senior song , filling the room with heartfelt emotion and a sense of unity. It was a beautiful reminder of the bond they share as they embark on their final year together as Chipmunks. The Senior Ring Dance is a tradition that not only celebrates the accomplishments of our seniors but also serves as a reminder of the journey ahead. The Class of 2026 truly made it a night to remember, and we couldn’t be prouder of these amazing young women.
Congratulations to Chapelle Alumna, Julie Gaudet '96! We are so excited for Chapelle Alumna Julie Gaudet '96 as she begins her first year as Principal for St. Benilde School in Metairie, Louisiana. Julie’s journey is a true testament to the values and leadership instilled at Archbishop Chapelle High School. As a proud Chapelle alumna, she embodies the spirit of faith, determination, and excellence that defines our community. Her connection to Chapelle doesn’t stop there—Julie is also the proud mom of a recent graduate! Her daughter Morgan Gaudet, a member of the Class of 2024 , recently graduated, marking another special chapter in her family’s Chapelle story. We couldn’t be prouder to see one of our own leading the next generation of students and making such an impact in Catholic education. The Class of 2026 Has a Nice RING to it!💍 On Wednesday, August 20, the seniors attended their Ring Mass at Divine Mercy Church in Kenner, Louisiana. Ring Mass is a cherished tradition marking a huge moment in their Chapelle journey. Before Mass began, members of the Class of 2026 presented their class symbols: Senior Class Flower - Blythe Bonnaffons Senior Motto - Lucy Banister Senior Colors - Caroline LaHatte Chapelle Diploma - Chloe Tujague Chapelle Alma Mater - Raegan Tuttle 2026 Class Unity Candle Votive - Shelby Williams Chapelle Senior Ring - Olivia Wurster Senior Sweater - Drue Murray Bible - Samantha LeCompte Statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Kelsie Schmidt Senior Class Rings - Kali Barber, Samantha Fairchild, Jena Gaudet, Keira Kissinger, and Allie Mixon After Mass concluded, the Class of 2026's official Ring Ceremony began. During this special ceremony, the students received their senior rings, some of which were worn by their mothers, sisters, grandmothers, and other important Chipmunks in their lives. Other seniors are starting their own legacy which holds so much excitement in itself! Mrs. Connie Dantagnan '88 and Senior Class President, Cate Jouet, presented the Class of 2026 Votive to the Chapelle Unity Candle. The Class of 2026 is the 61st graduating class of Archbishop Chapelle High School. All 61 classes are united to our current students through our charism of Deus Providebit, through our school traditions, and through our mission of excellence in spiritual, academic, and social formation. The Unity Candle symbolizes the over 14,000 women who have graduated from Chapelle. Join us in congratulating this amazing class! We are thrilled to celebrate Kaleigh Piper for her incredible accomplishments! Recently, Kaleigh was selected to represent Louisiana at her most recent competition, a testament to her hard work, talent, and dedication. Not only did Kaleigh make her state proud, but she also earned the title of #1 in Louisiana! Her success didn’t stop there—after competing in the Regional Championships, she rose to the top as the #1 competitor in the entire region. This outstanding achievement highlights Kaleigh’s skill, determination, and commitment to excellence. Her dedication inspires everyone in the Chapelle community, and we are so proud to have her representing our school, state, and region on such a high level. Congratulations, Kaleigh! Welcome, Mollie Montgomery, Our New Mission Advisor! We are thrilled to introduce Mollie Montgomery as Chapelle's new Mission Advisor ! Mollie brings a passion for faith, service, and education to this important role, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on campus. Here’s what Mollie shared about her journey to Chapelle: "My name is Mollie Montgomery, and I’m excited to be serving at Chapelle as the Mission Advisor. I moved to New Orleans from Mississippi about a year ago. My Catholic education was one of the greatest gifts my parents gave me—it was during that time that I grew in my Catholic identity and discovered a deep joy in serving others. Little did I know when I came on campus last March for the St. Joseph Altar and stole a lemon, God would provide... just like the school’s motto. When I saw this role open, I knew God was allowing me the opportunity to be a witness to these young women and to walk with them in their own journeys of faith. In this role, I will help ensure that all aspects of school life align with our mission, Catholic social teaching, and the values of the Church. I will also coordinate the school’s service program and Liturgies. In collaboration with Emily Lannan, our Campus Minister, I will work to foster meaningful encounters with Christ for our students, faculty, and staff, nurturing a faith-filled community rooted in service, prayer, and spiritual growth." As Mission Advisor, Mollie will play a vital role in ensuring that Chapelle continues to live out its mission through faith, service, and community. From coordinating Liturgies and service programs to fostering spiritual growth, Mollie is ready to help our students deepen their faith and embrace their role as women of God.
