Meet Bubba, the beloved yellow-eared slider who has been at Chapelle for the past 15 years. Rather than being considered a pet, Bubba is Mrs. Rohil’s best friends, with high hopes that he might one day become a superhero. Bubba has a love for fruits and veggies, adamantly dislikes leaving his tank, and has a strict diet that excludes weekend meals. This unique dietary restriction is crucial to prevent his body from outgrowing his shell, a condition that causes him considerable discomfort.
At Chapelle, Bubba serves a special purpose by providing students with the opportunity to care for a living being. Alongside his eating habits, Bubba has hobbies that include creating a ruckus during tests, posing for photos, and engaging in self-flirtation by admiring his reflection in the tank. For those seeking to pay Bubba a visit, he resides in the upstairs lab; however, caution is advised when handling him as he may exhibit signs of aggression by biting if you're not careful.
Bubba's presence at Chapelle is not merely as a pet but as an educational companion, teaching students responsibility and care for another living creature.
