The Chapelle community’s faith is beaming! At Chapelle, we do many things to help you grow your faith. The ministry on campus has many weekly things you can participate in to get involved in your faith. Throughout the day we pray as a school, we pray before school starts, before lunch, and at the end of the day. Furthermore, twice a week there are communion services held in the chapel before school. Also, weekly mass during s period is always a hit! Various students on campus look forward to attending this service. Senior Gigi Rodriguez adds "Being able to go to Mass during the day is such a great way to pause and take time to sit in peace while worshiping the Lord. It's also such a great way to celebrate the Mass intimately with my classmates." Friday mornings are also filled with joy. Students sacrifice some sleep to attend early morning bible study with our amazing campus minister Ms. Lannan. Ms. Lannan adds that “Bible study is great because I get to see the commitment and dedication these girls have. There is a small number of people but you can see how much they grow their faith and find others on campus that they can grow their faith too!”. Chapelle always centers their faith so we can be a faithful community.
Chapelle provides a plethora of ways to center our community around God. We pray through Hallow which is an app that every student can use to research and learn about saints and feast days, pray with novenas, guide yourself in your prayer life, and so much more. Chapelle also has monthly Masses as a school and each Mass highlights different academic and spiritual achievements of the students. Also, some of the Masses in the school year can bring alumni back to Chapelle. Lastly, every month we pray a rosary in our grotto. Having such a beautiful place to honor Mary as our mother is very important to us on campus!
Our campus here at Chapelle is truly rooted in Jesus, and this greatly shows through our students. For example, the campus ministry team is rapidly growing. There is a leadership team, as well as a discipleship team for grades nine through twelve. Junior Darcy Garvey, when asked what campus ministry means to her, responded “Campus ministry has taught me how to be a disciple of Christ and love the Lord wholeheartedly!”. This truly sets an example for our school, and how to live out our life for God. Not only do they provide a great example for us to follow, they do so much for our community. Grade school retreats, campus ministry nights, and leadership and discipleship team meetings are just a few of the amazing things our campus ministry does. Through all of the events and people here on campus, they provide so many ways for our students to express their faith and show it in their community.
