STATE CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY!
Our Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks have made history! In an unforgettable performance, they defeated the two-time defending champion Dutchtown with a 20-7 victory to claim the girls state bowling championship at Premier Lanes in Gonzales!
It was a record-setting season:
👏Capped off an incredible 16-0 season
👏Set a NEW state record with a 3,444 team series in the finals
👏Established a two-game series mark of 2,323!
👏This victory marks Chapelle's second state title in school history, joining the 2021 championship team!
Outstanding Performances:
🎳Elizabeth Hamilton led the way with a phenomenal 702 series on games of 243-227-232, achieving her first career high school 700 in her final varsity match!
🎳Olivia Bares, the only returnee from the 2021 lineup, kicked off with a 248 and finished with a solid 659 series.
🎳Mia Bella Harvey converted the 5-7 split to pull out a 162-157 victory at No. 2
🎳Alexandra Young doubled for a 224-223 win at No. 4
The Chipmunks took an early lead and stayed strong throughout the match, with standout performances from Mia Bella Harvey and Alexandra Young securing crucial victories in the second game. Dutchtown put up a fight but couldn't catch up, as Chapelle closed with a stellar 1,121 final game!
