Baccalaureate Mass 2026 💚⛪

On the morning of Friday, May 15, the Class of 2026 gathered with family, friends, faculty, and staff at the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral for Baccalaureate Mass. It was a reverent and joyful celebration, giving thanks for the past five years and asking God’s continued guidance as our seniors prepare to graduate.

We were honored to have Father Jody DiMaggio and Father Austin Barr serve as celebrants, assisted by Deacon Drea Capaci and Deacon Mike Sorensen. Life Skills Students Learn Car Maintenance from Guest Speaker Mr. Will Reinecke Archbishop Chapelle High School’s Life Skills classes recently had the pleasure of welcoming a very special guest speaker, Mr. Will Reinecke, father of Lia Reinecke ’28. With years of hands-on experience managing a fleet of vehicles, Mr. Reinecke brought valuable real-world knowledge into the classroom and shared practical lessons that students can carry with them well beyond Chapelle. During his visit, Mr. Reinecke introduced students to the basics of routine car maintenance, including how to check fluid levels, monitor tire pressure, and stay on schedule with oil changes. He also explained the importance of paying attention to changes in a vehicle’s performance and recognizing early warning signs, such as unusual sounds, dashboard lights, or changes in handling. Students were fully engaged as Mr. Reinecke discussed what these warning signs could mean and why addressing car issues early can help prevent larger and more expensive repairs in the future. His presentation gave students a better understanding of how regular maintenance contributes to both safety and long-term vehicle care. One of the highlights of the lesson was an interactive demonstration on how to safely change a tire. Mr. Reinecke walked students through the process step by step, giving them a hands-on look at an important life skill that every driver should know. We are grateful to Mr. Reinecke for sharing his time, experience, and expertise with our students. His visit helped our Life Skills classes feel more confident, capable, and prepared for life behind the wheel!

"Legacy Makes Cents" Coin Wars 2026 From October 12-16, Archbishop Chapelle High School will celebrate school spirit, friendly competition, and alumnae pride with this year’s penny war theme: Legacy Makes Cents! This exciting fundraiser will bring together current students and Chapelle Alumnae Faculty/Staff in a fun, competitive way. Each grade level will be represented by a Chapelle alumna teacher/staff member, making this year’s event a special celebration of the legacy that connects generations of Chipmunks. Meet the Grade Level Representatives Each grade level will compete on behalf of their alumna representative: 8th Grade: Mrs. Mellor, Class of 2003 Freshmen: Mrs. Medina, Class of 2006 Sophomores: Mrs. Wurster, Class of 2000 Juniors: Ms. LaCour, Class of 2021 Seniors: Mrs. Linegang, Class of 2020 Students are encouraged to support their grade level representative throughout the week as they work to earn the highest total. How the Competition Works The rules are simple, but the strategy is everything! Coins count as positive points for your grade level. Bills count as negative points when placed toward another grade level. Pins or stickers for your own grade level representative count as positive. Pins or stickers for another grade level representative count as negative. Students who want to support their own grade should donate coins and purchase pins or stickers for their own representative. Students who want to lower another grade’s total should donate bills or purchase pins or stickers for another grade level representative. At the end of the week, the grade level with the highest total will win a very special prize: their representative will get to pie the other grade level representatives! Student Body Fundraising Goals In addition to the grade level competition, the entire student body will work together toward schoolwide fundraising goals. If certain amounts are raised, the winning class officers will have the opportunity to pie Chapelle staff members who are also proud alumnae. The more we raise, the more alumnae staff members join the fun! $2,000: Mrs. Pierce, Class of 2013 $2,500: Mrs. Dawson, Class of 2013 $3,000: Mrs. Woodward, Class of 1996 $3,500: Ms. Smith, Class of 1980 $4,000: Mrs. Panzavecchia, Class of 1990 $4,500: Mrs. Dantagnan, Class of 1988 All for a Good Cause! All proceeds go towards our Chapelle Giving Tree which helps fulfill wishlist items for numerous families in need! We can’t wait to see which grade comes out on top and how many alumnae staff members will end up in the pie zone! Get your coins, bills, pins, and stickers ready, Chipmunks. Let the competition begin!

Welcoming Future Chipmunks to Future Scholars Night 💚🌟 On October 1, Archbishop Chapelle High School welcomed prospective families to campus for Future Scholars Night, an engaging evening created for 5th, 6th, and 7th grade girls and their families. This event gave Future Chipmunks the opportunity to explore Chapelle’s academic offerings, participate in hands-on activities, and learn more about the many ways our students are encouraged to grow, discover, and succeed. An Evening of Discovery The night began with a warm welcome from our Associate Head of School, who introduced families to the heart of Chapelle’s academic experience. From there, students and parents separated into groups for a night designed to give each of them a meaningful look at life as a Chapelle student. While parents heard more about Chapelle’s curriculum, programs, and student support, Future Chipmunks had the chance to experience learning in action through interactive sessions across campus. Learning Comes to Life Throughout the evening, prospective students rotated through a variety of stations that highlighted the creativity, innovation, and academic excellence found at Chapelle. In Future Focus, students reflected on their goals and dreams while creating vision boards and learning how Chapelle helps prepare students for success beyond high school. During the STEM session, guests explored robotics, 3D printing, and hands-on science activities in the ARC, giving them a glimpse into the exciting ways Chapelle students problem-solve, create, and experiment. The Tech and Media station offered a look into how students use technology, storytelling, and creativity through Chapelle’s digital media opportunities. Students also learned about Experiential Learning, where education extends beyond the classroom. This session highlighted the electives, field trips, and real-world learning experiences available at Chapelle. Families also had the opportunity to hear about the exciting travel opportunities Chapelle offers, including student trips abroad in Europe, where learning continues through culture, history, faith, and global exploration. Each station helped Future Chipmunks see how Chapelle encourages students to think boldly, ask questions, and discover their passions. Valuable Information for Parents While their daughters participated in activities, parents met with Chapelle faculty and staff to learn more about academic programs, course offerings, scholarships, and resources available to students. These conversations gave families a deeper understanding of how Chapelle supports each young woman throughout her high school journey. Parents also received helpful materials about scholarships and course studies, allowing them to better envision their daughter’s future as a Chapelle student. A Bright Future Ahead Future Scholars Night was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the faith-filled, supportive, and academically challenging environment that makes Chapelle such a special place. We loved welcoming so many curious and talented young women to campus and sharing the many opportunities that await them as Future Chipmunks. Thank you to all of the families who joined us for this special evening. We cannot wait to welcome you back to campus soon! 💚

Alumna Career Engagement Spotlight: Rachel Schneider, PA-C ’14 Archbishop Chapelle High School is proud to spotlight Rachel Schneider, PA-C, Class of 2014, who serves as an Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant at Ochsner. Rachel recently returned to campus to speak with students who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, giving them a firsthand look at her role and the many opportunities available in the medical field. Her visit allowed students to ask questions, learn about the path to becoming a physician assistant, and gain insight into what it is like to work in interventional radiology. As an advanced practice provider, Rachel plays an important role in diagnosing and treating patients through both inpatient and outpatient care. In her position, she performs her own procedures, meets with patients through inpatient consultations, and sees patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Rachel also has the ability to prescribe imaging and medications, allowing her to provide comprehensive care and support for her patients throughout their treatment journey. We are so grateful to Rachel for sharing her time, experience, and knowledge with our students. Her dedication to healthcare and willingness to support future professionals are wonderful examples of all that a Chapelle Alumna is. Thank you, Rachel, for representing Chapelle!

Alumna Spotlight: Kara Conners Pigeon ’90 Archbishop Chapelle High School is proud to spotlight Kara Conners Pigeon, Class of 1990, on being recognized as an Influential Woman in Hospitality & Catering. Kara has built an impressive career in the events and sales industry, bringing more than 30 years of experience, leadership, creativity, and dedication to her work. She currently serves as the Catering Director of Sales for her family’s business, Pigéon Catering, where she continues to help create meaningful and memorable experiences for clients throughout the community. At Chapelle, we have had the joy of working with Kara and Pigéon Catering as they are our official school caterer! During various school events and every day in the Cafeteria, we are grateful for the care, professionalism, and excellence their company brings to each occasion. Kara credits part of her success to the foundation she received during her time at Chapelle. While she remembers Chapelle as a wonderful environment to grow up in, she also shared that balancing high school academics was not always easy. Early on, Kara was deeply involved in extracurricular activities, which made it challenging to maintain her academic focus. Thankfully, Chapelle’s structured environment and attentive faculty helped make a lasting difference. When her teachers recognized her struggles, they stepped in to help her build vital organizational and time-management skills. Those lessons helped Kara balance dance team, two jobs, and coursework during high school. The skills Kara developed at Chapelle became the foundation for her future. Learning how to manage responsibilities, stay organized, and balance a full schedule helped launch her career as an Event Production Manager in the hospitality industry. Today, those same skills continue to guide her success in her role with Pigéon Catering. Kara’s story is a beautiful example of how perseverance, support, and a strong foundation can shape a meaningful career. Her recognition as an Influential Woman in Hospitality & Catering is a testament to her hard work, passion, and commitment to excellence. Congratulations, Kara! Chapelle is proud to celebrate your accomplishments and grateful for the many ways you continue to share your talents with our community.

This year’s Craft Fair was our biggest and best yet, welcoming more vendors, receiving more sponsorship support, and bringing more shoppers to campus than ever before. The day was filled with excitement, community, and Chapelle spirit as guests enjoyed shopping from a wide variety of vendors and spending time together at 8800 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Events like the Chapelle Craft Fair would not be possible without the incredible support of our school community. We are so grateful to our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, families, alumnae, and shoppers who helped make this year’s event such a success. Your generosity, time, and participation helped create a memorable day for everyone who joined us. Thank you to all who came out to support Chapelle and our vendors.
