Chipmunks Serve with Heart on MLK Day of Service On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a group of Chapelle Chipmunks chose to live out the call to service by participating in the Archdiocese’s “Day On, Not Off” MLK Service Day—a meaningful reminder that a day off from school can be a day on for serving others. The day began at the CYO with a prayer service, grounding our students in faith and reflecting on Dr. King’s legacy of love, justice, and service. Following prayer, the group traveled to St. Margaret’s Mercy, where they spent the day visiting with residents and participating in activities designed to bring joy, companionship, and connection. Through conversation, laughter, and shared moments, our students made a genuine impact—demonstrating compassion, kindness, and respect for every person they encountered. Their willingness to give their time and hearts made the day especially meaningful for both the residents and the Chipmunks themselves. We are proud of these students for choosing service and for representing Chapelle with faith in action. What a beautiful way to honor Dr. King’s message and spend a day off of school serving others!

Chapelle Faculty & Staff Begin the Semester with Faith at Faculty Retreat ✨✝️ On January 5, the Chapelle Faculty and Staff gathered at Notre Dame Seminary for a meaningful and faith‑filled Faculty Retreat, beginning the second half of the 2025–2026 school year rooted in prayer, reflection, and renewal. The day was highlighted by a powerful talk from Father James Martin, who encouraged our faculty and staff to embrace the excitement and opportunities of the new semester with trust in the Lord. He reminded us that while the work ahead may be challenging, with faith in God, all things are possible—and that each of us is called to continue serving our students with joy, purpose, and hope. Father Martin also celebrated Mass with our community, allowing us to come together in worship and thanksgiving. The retreat included sacred time in Eucharistic Adoration, offering moments of quiet reflection and prayer before the Lord, as well as the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Confession. This retreat was truly a blessing—a chance to pause, reconnect spiritually, and refocus on our shared mission as educators in a Catholic community. As we move forward into the remainder of the school year, we do so refreshed, inspired, and confident in God’s providence. We are grateful for this beautiful start to the semester and are excited for all that lies ahead for our school, our students, and our Chapelle team. Deus Providebit… God Will Provide.

Personal Finance Class Welcomes Guest Speakers to Conclude Its First Year This school year marked an exciting milestone at Archbishop Chapelle High School as we introduced Personal Finance as a new elective for juniors and seniors. This foundational course will officially become a required class for all juniors beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, reflecting our commitment to equipping students with real‑world financial skills that will serve them long after graduation. Throughout the semester, students explored essential financial topics including: • Writing checks and balancing a checkbook • Reconciling accounts and navigating digital banking • Sales tax, discounts, and consumer skills • Budgeting and filing taxes • Basics of credit, debt, and financial decision‑making • Evaluating education return on investment • Financial aid and college planning • Jobs, careers, and employment essentials • Insurance fundamentals • Investing basics The course is taught by Mrs. Stacy C. Woodward ’96, who partnered with Chapelle alumna Andrea Aleman Toro '09 and Edward Jones to strengthen and modernize the curriculum. Students engaged with interactive lessons through the EVERFI online platform, allowing them to apply financial concepts in practical, relevant ways. To conclude the course, Andrea and her husband, Daniel, visited as guest speakers, sharing their professional and academic journeys while introducing students to the “Rules of the Road” and current industry trends in personal finance. They also explained the role of a financial advisor and demonstrated real‑world tools—including using AI—to explore stock analysis and the time value of money. The session wrapped up with a Q&A and a special Chick‑fil‑A lunch generously provided by the speakers. We are thrilled to offer this important course and to prepare our students with knowledge they can begin applying in their daily lives today. At Chapelle, we remain committed to empowering our young women with the skills, confidence, and understanding they need to build a successful financial future.

Brenda joined Chapelle’s faculty in 1973, serving generations of students with passion and care. Deacon Drea has served as Chapelle’s Co‑Chaplain for the past 25 years, ministering to our community and guiding students spiritually through prayer, service, and retreat leadership. Their decades of commitment, their joy in serving, and their deep love for Chapelle embody our motto Deus Providebit—God Will Provide. We are honored to recognize them for their extraordinary legacy of faith and service. 2026 Alumna of the Year Lyndsey Manalla Dyle ’03 A proud legacy alumna, Lyndsey Manalla Dyle ’03 carries Chapelle in her heart everywhere she goes. After graduating, she returned home to her Alma Mater—serving in Admissions, Alumnae, Advancement, and as a coach, deepening her love for the Chapelle community and strengthening the sisterhood that shaped her. Lyndsey reflects beautifully on the impact Chapelle has had on her life: “Deus Providebit—God Will Provide... I’ve carried this motto with me since my days at Chapelle. I truly believe that what you put into Chapelle, she will give you right back and then some. Chapelle isn’t just a place I went; it’s part of my identity. My mother and the women who taught me at Chapelle shaped who I am today, and I am forever grateful.” Lyndsey continues to embody our values through her leadership, service, and loyalty to Chapelle. We invite our entire community to celebrate these outstanding honorees at the 2026 Emerald Gala on February 28, 2026. Chapelle Community Shares the Spirit of the Season Through This Year’s Giving Tree, Sponsored by NHS and NJHS 🎄💚 Each Advent season, the Chapelle community comes together in faith, generosity, and love to support families in need—and this year was no exception. Our 2025 Giving Tree, sponsored by our National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society was a beautiful reminder of what it means to live out the true spirit of Christmas. This year, Chapelle students, faculty, staff, and families selected ornaments from our Giving Tree, each representing a specific gift requested by a local family. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community, we were able to provide Christmas gifts and support for 7 families in need. From toys and clothing to household items and special wish‑list surprises, every gift was chosen with care and wrapped with love. The joy and hope these gifts bring to families during the holidays is immeasurable—and it is all because of the kindness of our Chipmunk family. A heartfelt thank you to every student, parent, teacher, club, and staff member who participated. Your compassion makes a real difference and reflects the heart of Chapelle: faith in action. May the love shared through our Giving Tree continue to inspire us throughout the Christmas season and into the new year.
