Prom Fest Meeting for Volunteers

Calling all chipmunk parents who would like to volunteer at Prom Fest on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Prom Fest is an all-night event for the senior class held on Chapelle's campus after the Senior Prom. It provides a safe and fun environment and is completely free for the girls and their dates. There are lots of games and activities and chances to win great prizes. Although Prom Fest is for the seniors, we invite and need all grade level parents to volunteer to keep this incredible tradition alive.

The second Prom Fest meeting will be held on Monday, November 11 at 6:00pm in the school cafeteria.

To volunteer, there are 3 easy requirements:

1. You must be safe environment trained. (This can be completed online)

2. You must attend at least one Prom Fest meeting.

3. You must purchase a Prom Fest volunteer t-shirt for $15.

Volunteering the night of Prom Fest will satisfy 2 of the 3 school event requirements to be eligible for the ACHS Parent’s Club tuition incentive raffle.

Please contact Danielle Gauthier or Sara Richard at promfest@achschipmunks.org if you have any questions.

Hallow

Last year, we partnered with Hallow, an amazing online resource for prayer that the students can use in the classroom and in their own personal lives! Having Hallow was a great opportunity that I know many of our students took advantage of. Between the faculty, staff, and students, the Archbishop Chapelle community prayed over 11,000 prayers on Hallow last year!

I am happy to say that we are partnering with Hallow again this year! Every single student will have full access to a Hallow account through their achschipmunks email. They should have, or soon will be receiving an email from Hallow with more information on how to log into their accounts. The students can access Hallow through the web browser on their chromebooks, or they can also download the app on their smartphones if they have one. We will be using Hallow in the Theology classes this year, so it is important that every student knows how to access their accounts.

Parents, Hallow also generously offers a free trial for you! Be on the lookout for more information in the future!

If you have any questions about Hallow, please contact Mr. Gavin Matherne.

Know that we are praying for you!

Bullying/Harassment Policy

Bullying is a distinctive pattern of repeatedly and deliberately harming and humiliating others and is characterized by a power imbalance between the two parties. Bullying includes, but is not limited to physical or verbal aggression, relational aggression, or emotional aggression (teasing, threatening, and intimidating others). Relational aggression (RA), is a form of indirect bullying that uses social relationships to manipulate or harm others, such as isolating a student from her group of friends (social exclusion), threatening to stop talking to a friend (the ''silent treatment''), or spreading gossip and rumors. Harassment includes, but is not limited to, slurs, jokes, comments, or other offensive conduct relating to race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic. Bullying, relational aggression (including cyber-bullying), and harassment will not be tolerated. Please use the forms below to report bullying.

Recapping a Great Summer
August 8, 2025
This summer, Molly hit the court in a big way—literally! While playing travel basketball, she participated in a 3-point shooting competition during one of her tournaments. The contest brought together about 15 talented high school players from across Louisiana and Mississippi, each ready to show off their shooting skills. When the final buzzer sounded, Molly had made the most 3-pointers out of the entire group, securing her spot as the champion! Her sharp shooting earned her not just bragging rights, but also a championship ring and a $400 prize. We are so proud of Molly for this exciting achievement! We cannot wait to see her in the Burrow this year representing Archbishop Chapelle High School on the basketball court!

We are thrilled to share exciting news about one of our own, Kyla Wilson '29, whose dedication, skill, and perseverance have earned her a spot on the international stage! This past June, at the USA Gymnastics Nationals, Kyla was selected to represent the United States at the South Tyneside International Acro Cup in Great Britain this October. This prestigious competition will bring together top athletes from around the world, and Kyla will proudly compete as part of Team USA. Kyla’s journey to this moment has been years in the making. Countless hours of training, discipline, and determination have shaped her into the exceptional gymnast she is today. Her selection is not only a testament to her incredible talent but also to her resilience and love for the sport. We are so proud of Kyla and cannot wait to cheer her on as she takes the floor in Great Britain.

Back to School Prayer

Dear Lord,

As our students begin a new school year, I pray that you will keep them in your care. Send your Spirit to open their minds to all that is true and beautiful and good.  Help them to see the gifts and talents you have given them and to use them well.  Help them to grow in knowledge and wisdom.  Help them to be kind to others and lead others to be kind to them.
Open their young hearts to your presence and enfold them in your peace and protection.

Amen.

Congratulations to our College Counselor, Mrs. Jessica Reeg '00, on receiving the Notre Dame Golden Guide Award ! This prestigious honor, awarded by the University of Notre Dame, recognizes outstanding educators who go above and beyond in guiding students through the college search and application process. What makes this award especially meaningful is that recipients are nominated by their own students. Recent graduate Savannah Corrales '25 nominated Mrs. Reeg for the award, sharing: "If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have applied to any out-of-state schools, but her encouragement and support throughout this process helped me get into top schools like Notre Dame, where I’m proud to continue my education." Mrs. Reeg is a tireless advocate for our soon to be alumnae, working one-on-one with seniors through every step of the college admissions journey, from essay writing and transcript tracking to scholarship searches and application prep. This year also marks Mrs. Reeg’s 20th year of dedicated service at Chapelle. We are so proud and grateful to have her as part of our school community. Congratulations, Mrs. Reeg!
