.Joanie graduated from Archbishop Chapelle High School in 1978. She was very involved at Chapelle, writing many skits for the class of 1978 Rally as well as preparing scenery for intramurals and rally. She was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and earned honorable mention at district rally, making lifelong friends along the way. She studied business and administrative studies in college then began her career in the banking industry. She put her career on hold to raise her children for 15 years after which time she re-entered the workforce in the retail industry, a job that she currently enjoys to this day. For the past 11 years Joanie has been a member of the Saint Joseph Altar Committee particularly in the baking of cookies as well as coordinating the presentation of the Altar itself. Joanie is also active in her church parish of Saint Philip Neri as a member of the ACTS retreat committee and serves on the Core Committee for ACTS at Saint Philip Neri.
Ralph graduated as Salutatorian from Holy Redeemer High School in 1976. He was editor of the school newspaper and active in all sports activities. Ralph graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from Nicholls State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and Associate Degree in computer science. Ralph obtained his CPA designation in November of 1980 and was employed by a national CPA firm. After seven years he left to work for his current employer, Performance Food Group, managing the distribution facility in Houma, LA. Ralph currently serves on the board of the Trevor Cure Dat Foundation, a nonprofit organization assisting children with SMA. Ralph also serves as treasurer for St. Philip Neri parish fair committee. Along with Joanie, he is a member of the St. Joseph Altar committee.
Joanie and Ralph were blessed with two beautiful children, Megan Boudreau Caire and Ryan Boudreau. Joanie and Ralph were both very active at Our Lady of Divine Providence while their children attended, even earning the Janice Russo award for Outstanding service. Megan graduated from Chapelle in 2003 and later returned to Chapelle to teach. She is currently teaching middle school religion at St. Philip Neri. She and her husband Matthew have 4 beautiful children. Ryan graduated from Rummel High School in 2003 and is currently managing a local pharmacy. Ryan and his wife Caroline are raising three beautiful children. Ralph and Joanie are thrilled to be blessed with so many precious gifts from God.
Joanie and Ralph are very honored and humbled to be considered for the prestigious Deus Providebit Award. They share a deep love and commitment to the Chapelle community and look forward to many years of involvement at Chapelle through the Saint Joseph Altar and other endeavors. They are both very excited to see the growth and improvements taking place at Chapelle and are eager to help in any way to enhance the future development of the young women who attend. Joanie and Ralph believe in the motto of Mother Teresa, “Do small things with great love”, and they believe that Chapelle is doing exactly that.
