On Friday, August 14, students gathered in the gym for the first school Liturgy of the year.  The Mass of the Holy Spirit was celebrated by ACHS Chaplain, Father Bob Massett.  Members of Impressions and Chorale provided inspirational music. 

After Mass, Campus Minister Lyn Moore commissioned the Campus Ministry Executive Board to guide the entire student body to become young women of faith, hope, love, prayer, and service.   Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist were issued certificates by the Office of Worship of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.  The Class Officers were presented with their pins.  Deacon Drea Cpaci blessed the Class of 2010 and their senior sweaters.

Principal Cathy Yaeger addressed the students and challenged them to rededicate themselves to Archbishop Chapelle’s mission, to renew friendships, and to welcome new members of the Archbishop Chapelle Family.

After the singing of the Alma Mater, the seniors formed a circle around the gym to sing their senior song, “Breaking Away.”     more pictures
