Slam-n-Jam

Slam-n-Jam is a local event held at Coconut Beach for high school students.  Archbishop Chapelle had five teams participating in this huge volleyball tournament.  The funds from this event are donated to a charity for spine disease.  Approximately twelve local high schools participated. Special thanks to the Student Council Officers and Ms. Bonnie Sheppard for arranging Chapelle’s participation in Slam-n-Jam!

C.A.V.E. members assisted the Jefferson Parish Department of Environmental Affairs by placing signs on the storm drains in the neighborhood around school.  The signs alert the public to the fact that the storm drains lead directly to Lake Pontchartrain, and there is to be no dumping or violators will receive up to a $5,000 fine.  more pictures
