Congratulations Chipmunks

Chloe' Chetta and Natalie White have been named Semifinalists in the 208 National Merit Scholarship Program. 
Jordan Terry has been named a Commended Student.

More than 1.4 million juniors in nearly 21,000 high schools entered the 2008 Natinal Merit Program by taking 2006 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualify Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which served as an initial screen of program entrants.  The natinal wide pool of Semifinalists, whch represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest scoring entrants in each state.  The number of Semifinalists ina state is proportional to the state's percentage of the national total of graduating seniors.

Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.4 million students who entered the 2008 competition by taking the 2006 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).  "The young people named Commended Students in the 2008 National Merit Scholarship Program are distinguished by their strong academic performance in this rigorous competition,"  commented a spokesperson for NMSC.
