Johlee Schinetsky, Student Council President, welcomed guests, faculty, and students to the “Celebrate Life Liturgy.” Cathy Juarez, True Life Club Board Member, explained that the purpose of the celebration is to appreciate the diversity found in Chapelle’s family and to share our ethnicity with one another.

     The First Reading was proclaimed in Italian by Katie Canizaro, the Psalm Response was sung in Latin by the Chapelle Impressions Choir, the Second Reading was proclaimed in French by Madeleine Broussard, and the Gospel was proclaimed in English by Deacon Drea Capaci, Chapelle Co-chaplain.

     Prayers of the Faithful were petitioned in the following languages:   Latin by Catherine Owers, Vietnamese by Kelly Tran, Urdu by Sidrah Syed, German by Claire Laurent, English by Ariel Amedee, Spanish by Adriana Gonzalez, and Arabic by Serein Mohamad.

     The musical arrangements reflected the following cultures:  Spanish, African American, Latin, and English.          more pictures
