
Students participating in the Gifted and
Talented Program were honored last week
by the GT Chairperson Ms. Kathryn
Claverie.
Ms. Claverie announced their
projects and Mrs. Sarah Bachemin
presented the students with their GT
pins.
Senior, Gabby Galeano,
is conducting research to determine if
cataract surgery alters the management
of glaucoma.
This is a 2 year project.
Her mentor is Dr. Robert Balkan
and her board member is Mrs. Yaeger.
Junior, Mary Mason is
creating 7 original art pieces.
She is painting the 7 continents
on large canvases with cultural aspects
of each continent displayed inside.
This 2 year project and will be
completed next year.
Her mentor is Mrs. Bachemin and
her board member is Dr. Weaver.
Senior, Madeleine Rappold is creating
10 original art pieces.
The art will show how hands are
used to express different human
emotions.
A variety of mediums of art will
be used.
Her mentor is Mrs. Bachemin and
her board member is Mrs. Larousse.

She was in Washington, D.C.
attending the March for Life Rally.
