Mrs. Haydel's science class recently visited the Bayou Savage National Wildlife Refuge to plant the seedlings that were grown at the nursery on Chapelle's campus. The program is part of the LSU Coastal Roots Program - School Seedling Nursery Program for Habitat Restoration. Students planted the seeds, monitored the daily irrigation of seedlings, and applied fertilizer as the seedlings mature. After their planting trip, students will prepare the nursery for the next seed planting in late winter. more pictures
