Senior Ring Mass

Seaira-Myangel Miles, senior class president, welcomed the Class of 2012 and their guests on Wednesday, August 31 to begin the Senior Ring Mass.   St. Philip Neri Church was the site of the celebration. Father Bob Massett was the celebrant with Deacon Drea Capaci assisting. 

During the opening procession Megan Jacob presented the Senior Motto, Lauren Maiden presented the Senior Sweater, Amber Murphy presented the Class Flower, Patricia Suarez presented the Unity Candle, Lisa Earles and Amanda Seoane presented the Class Colors, and Kelsey Doucet presented the Senior Ring.

Before Mrs. Yaeger presented each senior with her ring, Sarah Broekhoven, Rachel Culotta, Rebecca Gaspard, ReneĆ© Navarre, and Emani White presented the rings to Father Bob for a blessing.  Many of the students received legacy rings that were handed down by mothers, sisters, and aunts.  As Mrs. Rosato called the student’s name to receive a legacy ring, she included the name of the alumna and year of her graduation. During the Liturgy of the Word, Sarah Martinez read the first reading and Alyssa Paulin read the second reading.  Prayers of the faithful were read by Sarah Morere and Alyssa Rosen.

Allison Ulfers and Sarah Bilbe set the altar as Alexis Angelette, Abigail jGould, Cosette Harbison, Kathryn Mount, Catherine Owers, Amanda Palmisano, Katie Pareti, Mikella Sorensen, and Brittany Thibodeaux presented the gifts.

Madison Boudreaux, Kaitlyn Juneau, Emily Laurent, and Angelle Millet served as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion along with Mrs. Frosch and Mrs. Yaeger.

ACHS is a school with many special traditions.  During the Ring Mass, the senior class president and the principal placed the Class of 2012 votive on the Unity Candle unifying the Class of 2012 with the classes that graduated before them. 

The senior class held a ribbon in their class colors, blue and lime green, uniting them as they sang the Alma Mater.  more pictures
