Father Paul Hart speaks at Prayer Breakfast
The annual Community Prayer Breakfast was held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. at Chateau Estates Golf & Country Club in Kenner. The Reverend Paul S. Hart, keynote speaker, shared his inspiring message that with God all things are possible.
Roi-Lynne Manning Hulin ’74, Prayer Breakfast Chair and mother of Erin Hulin ’07 and Lauren Hulin’ 10, began the morning with the Invocation and Kelsey Doucet ’12, Student Council President, led the Pledge of Allegiance. Jane Ann Frosch ‘74, ACHS President, welcomed the guests. After a scripture reading by the Very Reverend Gerald L. Seiler, pastor of St. Edward the Confessor Parish, the Chorale accompanied by Megan Dearie ’90 sang a beautiful rendition of “Amazing Grace.” Cathy Yaeger, ACHS Principal, recited a beautiful prayer reflecting on our motto, “God Will Provide.” Before breakfast was served, Madeline Janney ’12, a member of the Campus Ministry Executive Board, led everyone in grace. Ms. Beth M. Johnson concluded the morning of prayer and reflection with Benediction. The Chorale closed with “God Will Provide.” Among the honored guests in attendance were former ACHS Presidents Al Murphy and Beth Johnson and former Principal Mary Beth Drez. Mr. Murphy served as ACHS President from 1990-1998 and Principal from 1983-1990. Ms. Johnson served as ACHS President from 1998-2005 and Principal from 1990-1998. Ms. Drez served as Principal from 2001-2009. Ms. Johnson instituted the Prayer Breakfast during her tenure. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Prayer Breakfast, she was presented with a bouquet of flowers. Also in attendance were former Prayer Breakfast speakers Father Frank Giror, Ms. Kim Antonini Johnson ’73, Ms. Judy Miranti, and Mrs. Angela Thomas ’97. A special thanks to Roi-Lynne and Colin Hulin for serving as chairs of this year’s event, members of the Prayer Breakfast Committee for their tireless efforts in making this event a success and the many parents, grandparents, alumnae, and friends of Chapelle who joined us for this morning of prayer. more pictures |
