Embracing Emerging Leaders III
Forty-eight middle school students from thirteen East Bank and River parishes’ elementary schools attended the Embracing Emerging Leaders III Leadership Workshop at Archbishop Chapelle High School. Twenty-five National Honor Society and Student Council leaders conducted the workshop which featured active games, songs, and other activities to enhance students’ knowledge of leadership and its many facets and the qualities of good leaders. Kati Boudreau ’06, Alissa Ball ’06, Alison Ruth ’06, Faith Abadie ’05, and Amanda Briseno ’05 returned to campus and performed a skit for the students. The middle school students were given ideas to share with their fellow students when they return to their individual schools. The leadership workshop was financed through a grant from the Joe W. and Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation, Service Learning Program. Archbishop Chapelle faculty advisors for the workshop were Annette Thibodeaux, Pam Moll, and Jeannine Seoane, National Honor Society sponsors, and Bonnie Sheppard, Student Council moderator. |
