Grandparents Attend Thanksgiving Service

The Archbishop Chapelle family welcomed the grandparents of 10th, 11th, and 12th graders during the annual Thanksgiving Prayer Service.  Before the service, the grandparents joined their granddaughters for a delicious breakfast prepared by the cafeteria staff. 

Chapelle’s Thanksgiving Prayer Service traditionally honors the U.S. Armed Forces for the sacrifices made by the veterans who served honorably for our country. This year the celebration included first responders.  Throughout the morning, the band, under the direction of Dr. Nick Compagno, played a collection of military songs. 

As the Chapellettes presented the colors, the band played the National Anthem.  Readers for the Prayer Service were Madison Boudreaux, Seaira-Myangel Miles, and Callie Rieder. Deacon Drea Capaci blessed the food baskets and the honored guests.

Mrs. Cathy Yaeger thanked the students for their generosity for the abundant Thanksgiving food baskets.  St. John the Baptist Community Center in New Orleans will distribute the baskets. The band played the Alma Mater at conclusion of the service.  More pictures
