Students Celebrate Archbishop Chapelle's Birthday

Students enjoyed birthday cake Friday in celebration of Archbishop Chapelle’s birthday. Archbishop Placide Louis Chapelle was born on August 28, 1842 in Rhunes, France.  He served as Archbishop of New Orleans from 1897 until his death in 1905.
