New Faces on Campus

Archbishop Chapelle High School welcomes five new teachers for the 2011-12 school year. 

Lauren Brignac-Huber is teaching Chemistry and Physics.  She earned a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in Biology and her Ph.D. from LSU Health Sciences Center in Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.  Lauren has worked as a graduate research assistant/research associate at LSU Health Science Center.  She has taught at LSUHSC School of Nursing and fourth grade science.

Sarah Denny ’07 is teaching Religion.  She earned a bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in Theology with a minor in Philosophy.  Sarah has worked with Women's Life Center on the baby bottle campaign; worked at area schools as summer camp counselor; and she has volunteered at area youth retreats as a speaker and facilitator.

Elizabeth Stewart Hook ’85 is returning to ACHS to teach English.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from UNO.

Kevin Marshall is teaching Latin and English. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in Classical Studies with a minor in Drama and a master’s degree from Tulane in Classical Studies. Prior to joining our faculty, Kevin worked at Tulane University instructing first, second, and third semester students in Latin, Classical Mythology and Roman Art.

 

In addition to teaching PE, Kiely Schork is our new basketball coach.  She earned a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in Communications with a minor in Visual Arts and a master’s degree in Education from Union University.  Kiely assisted Union University's women's basketball team and was a member of Loyola's women's basketball team for five years.
