Candlelight Induction Ceremony

Principal Cathy Yaeger officially welcomed the Class of 2016 on Tuesday, August 9 during the annual Eighth Grade Candlelight Induction Ceremony.   During the ceremony, each member of the 8th grade class received a candle lit by a member of the Administrative Team to signify their membership into the Chapelle Family.

The evening began with a prayer service, prepared by ACHS Campus Minister Maria Steen,  and included scripture readings by Kelsey Doucet, Student Council President, and Catherine Owers, Campus Ministry Executive Board.

Senior Emily Laurent reflected on her years at Archbishop Chapelle.  Emily, a member of the Campus Ministry Executive Board, encouraged the students to work diligently on their academic studies, to be involved in school activities and to be of service to others.

President Jane Ann Frosch introduced the students to their new mascot, the Chipmunk, and they were delighted to receive their acorn pins from executive board members of the Student Council, Campus Ministry, and Ambassadors.

Refreshments were provided by the Parents’ Club. more pictures
