Catholic Identity:
Retreat Programs
Chapelle students experience annual class level spiritual retreats. Seniors attend a retreat at the U.N.O. Newman Center or an overnight retreat held at the Rosaryville Retreat Center. Deacon Capaci and Chapelle faculty members plan and conduct the senior level retreats. Underclassmen attend a mandatory retreat experience on campus. The Retreat Team is instrumental in preparing the junior, sophomore, freshmen and 8th grade retreats. Throughout the year, students are encouraged to participate in a number of voluntary retreats sponsored by archdiocesan youth programs.
During the Lenten season, the faculty attends a retreat to nourish their spiritual growth, deepen their prayer life, and provide them with time to evaluate themselves as disciples of Christ. The Ignatian Prayer Program, Lord Teach Me to Pray, is offered to the faculty with the aim of enhancing personal prayer life. Annually, the Institute for Catechetics and Spirituality offers courses to administrators and faculty.
